Located in the charming "blue coast" (Côte D'Azur), Nice is considered the "capital" of the French Riviera. With the sun shining approximately 300 days a year, it is fair to say that the beaches are its main attraction - but there's much more to discover in Nice.
Nice Airport is only 7 kilometres/4.3 miles away from the centre of Nice (Place Masséna), by car you can cover the distance via the 'Promenade des Anglais' in 15 to 20 minutes. There are also trams, buses and taxis available to and from the airport.
Taxi: The distance from Nice Airport to the city centre is 6 kilometres and the travel time is around 10–20 minutes by taxi and the taxi fare is around €30.
Bus: Bus services via airport buses are €6 and take around 15–20 minutes to reach the city. Public buses are €1.50, require walking from the airport to the main road in order to catch them, and take around 30 minutes to get to the city centre of Nice.
Tram: Tram line 2/T2 takes you from the airport to tram stop Jean Médecin in the centre of the city. The journey time is 28 minutes from Terminal 2 and 24 minutes from Terminal 1. You can find the airport stops in front of Terminal 2, gate A2 and Terminal 1, gate A0. Tickets for a single journey cost €1.50 per person.
A visa is not required for either tourist or business stays, but other visas to France depend on your nationality and length/purpose of your stay. Best thing to do is check the official visa website for France.
